Bollywood fans saw Dia Mirza make a strong case for silvery grey wearing Shantanu & Nikhil atBipasha Basu’s wedding reception, while Malaika Arora Khan went pale blue in Anita Dongre. Kangana Ranaut picked up her third National Award in a powdery Georges Chakra gown, and the Kapoor sisters chose calming shades of navy: Karisma Kapoor chose Rahul Mishra, and Kareena Kapoor Khanwent ethnic in Payal Singhal.
Overseas, the wintery palette received lots of love by way of Priyanka Chopra (in an edgy-meets-elegant black Zuhair Murad), and the stars spotted at the Met Gala red carpet. Some of the most-loved looks: Karlie Kloss’s white Brandon Maxwell, Nicole Kidman’s whimsical Alexander McQueen, and Zoe Saldana’s trailing Dolce & Gabbana number.
