Guess the strong brow game is going nowhere. Though the arch just got sharper. The brown eyeshadow adds a much-needed depth. And your schooldays’ pigtails is back, albeit with much poise.
Gaurav Gupta
Shine under the summer sun with dewy make-up. Opt for translucent mascara instead. A Spanish red lip is definitive while this side-swept hairstyle keeps the slick statement alive.
Pallavi Mohan, Hemant and Nandita
If hair had an equivalent to no make-up make-up, it’s this look. Ape it with burgundy lips to get with it.
Rina Dhaka
It was all about a subtle silver lining in the inner corners of your eye with grey eye shadow. Top that with a messy side-swept ponytail and candy-floss lips for an edgy twist.
Shantanu & Nikhil
This is the era for rejigging. We got a dose of that with this show by doing the cat eye with a smokey-eyeshadow palette. Make it seem like an illusion. Define your look with black eyeliner. Oxblood lipstick gets the goth statement kicking.

Shakuntala by AM:PM
Ankur and Priyanka Modi’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection takes inspiration from one of the most popular stories in the Mahabharata. This line of clothing, called ‘Shakuntala’, is a modern interpretation of the story of the young woman raised in a forest.
The collection contains motifs inspired by the natural world, including the crane, lotus, monkey, reflections of the sky and jungle foliage. While the inspiration comes from the age-old tale, the pieces in this collection are created to cater to the contemporary woman.
The Shakuntala Collection will be available exclusively at AM:PM stores.

Saurabh and Gaurav Gupta
While we’re not buying any heart-shaped tarts this month, we’re definitely in the spirit of celebrating all stuff that gets better together. Starsky and Hutch, milk and cookies, peanut butter and jelly – you know the drill. On top of that list are fashion’s fave power pairs that have created magic through collaboration.
GAURAV AND SAURABH GUPTA
After 10 years of working together to build the Gaurav Gupta brand name, the brothers have turned into friends, making it “equally difficult and amazing to work with each other,” as Gaurav puts it.
GRAZIA: What is the best thing about working with each other? And the worst?
GAURAV GUPTA: An echoing trust and stability knowing that we’re both in it for the long term are the best bits. The worst bit is that we both always disagree to disagree.
SAURABH GUPTA: We think quite alike and he is someone I trust blindly. But sometimes, we know each other so well that we take the other for granted.
G: Tell us an embarrassing secret about the other.
GG: Everyone thinks I am scary and unapproachable but sometimes, I am the one intimated by Saurabh and so are our employees.
SG: Gaurav used to dance to Sridevi’s songs as a teenager!
ANITA DONGRE AND MUKESH SAWLANI
The first working woman in her family, Anita Dongre is the eldest of her six siblings that make for a “close and crazy family”. Handling the financial and retail end of the massive empire is younger brother Mukesh who is her “best and worst critic at the same time”.
GRAZIA: What is the best thing about working with each other?
ANITA DONGRE: We both have a common vision and shared values. Also, Mukesh lives an extremely simple life – he feels less is more and lives out of four white shirts, which is very inspiring.
MUKESH SAWLANI: Working together is great fun as well – we have lunch together everyday, which is where gossip and work talk mingle.

AMIT AGGARWAL AND AMIT HANSRAJ
“In both our cases, our lives were changing and the desire to do more than what we were already doing probably brought us together and start Amit Aggarwal, the brand. It was never planned,” says Aggarwal, whose design sense matched Hansraj’s business acumen also leading to prêt brand AM.IT.
GRAZIA: What does the other person bring to the brand?
AMIT AGGARWAL: Commercial sense, adaptability and approachability.
AMIT HANSRAJ: Loads of talent and a vision that I respect.
G: Tell us an embarrassing secret about the other.
AA: His love for the perfect motichoor ladoos is epic. They have to be the right temperature, size, colour and fresher than daisies. Else it’s catastrophe at the office.
AH: He gets drunk very quickly, sometimes in half a pint.
PAYAL SINGHAL AND NIRVAAN KIRPALANI
Married to the job while being married to each other can turn out to be as lethal as it can be logical, we find out when we speak with Payal Singhal who runs her eponymous brand with her husband, Nirvaan Kirpalani.
GRAZIA: What is the best thing about working with each other? And the worst?
PAYAL SINGHAL: Working together has somehow been amazing for even our family life, contrary to what people say. We can switch from being workmates to friends to parents easily. The worst is obviously trying to define our individual space – he likes to take work home, and I don’t. I like to do some meetings alone whereas he would just barge in to ask an inane question which would seem pertinent to him.
NIRVAAN KIRPALANI: We work independently, and are conscious of not crossing each other’s paths. We have the same goal, which is great. But with all of Payal’s passion come an OCD and a short temper. If she wants to get something done, she doesn’t care how it’ll get done.
G: Three words to describe the other person…
PS: Sincere-to-the-point-of-annoyance. Funny. Messy.
NK: Supermom. Superwife. Pain-in-the-ass.
WENDELL RODRICKS AND JEROME MARREL
What was a blind date in Oman, culminated in a solid relationship and partnership between Padma Shri awardee designer Wendell Rodricks and his partner Jerome Marrel.
GRAZIA: Why did it make sense to work together?
WENDELL RODRICKS: I do the creative end, and realised long ago that one cannot be both creative and commercial. It makes perfect sense that Jerome handles the commercial end – business contracts, banking, front row seats and show invites. Handling that would curb my creativity.
JEROME MARREL: If you want to maximise creativity, then you should not be bothered with administration. We have a very efficient team behind us so I just interact with and guide them.
G: The best things you both have done together?
WR: Apart from the excitement of fashion, travelling and exploring the world is a big high.
JM: Discovering the world. 143 countries and counting.
VARUN AND VISHAL BAHL
It can’t be easy working with your sibling, right? Dismissing this thought are designer Varun and his brother Vishal Bahl who are undeniably reliant on each other in running the former’s label. =
GRAZIA: A work tradition that you maintain…
VARUN BAHL: There are so many things we do at work that become a tradition – right from a brainstorming session at the start of a season, to the yearly extravagant lunch that is laid out every New Year.
VISHAL BAHL: I won’t call it a tradition, but I make it a point to visit all departments everyday to ensure that things are running smoothly.

VOGUE INDIA Alia Bhatt vs Sidharth Malhotra: The battle of the BFFs
Bollywood stars today, they are just like us. After wrapping a hectic two-day cover shoot, we are on a wobbly seaplane, flying over the luminous waters of Maldives, when actor Sidharth Malhotra nudges me. On his smartphone is a video of a truant little monk who keeps nodding off while meditating—it’s in the same chuckle-inducing vein of cat and baby clips we routinely see on 9gag.com.
To his right is his Kapoor & Sons co-star, Alia Bhatt, who has taken comfort in her ultimate travel companion—a time-worn pillow—to catch some extra winks. To passengers around, guests from Four Seasons Resort at Landaa Giraavaru, we could be mistaken for any other bunch of young adults on vacation. But it’s only because I’m with two young stars who are keen on keeping things on the low. Two days ago, we arrived at this castaway paradise that is 99 per cent water. It was their first time here and, like any curious tourist, Bhatt was elated at the sight the seaplane afforded. At 4,500ft, you can see oval-shaped landforms haloed by lagoons and reefs in the turquoise sea. It’s so spectacular a sight that, like Bhatt, you can’t help but remove your sunglasses to confirm it isn’t an illusion.
A day later, the Brothers actor joined us on set, where he too had a first-of-its-kind moment when Anaita Shroff Adajania, Vogue’s fashion director, determined to catch the last of the fading evening light, convinced him to take shield in a human changing room on the beach. “I was butt-naked, changing behind four women holding towels—definitely not something I’ve done before,” he says.
Real dealThe duo has a shared history. In 2012 they made their first film together, Karan Johar’s high-school drama, Student Of The Year. And this month, they come together in Kapoor & Sons.
In their low-key airport attire—Bhatt, bare of accoutrements in a red checkered shirt, denim shorts and shiny shoes that read ‘Not Basic’, and Malhotra in a pair of jeans and T-shirt—they don’t possess the affected air associated with yesteryear stars. They travel without the glamorous trappings that their preceding generation finds indispensable: there are no beefy guards around us, no encroaching publicists hovering while I interview, and absolutely no world-weary attitude. For now, it seems they are okay playing their roles as rising stars for a little while longer.
At regular intervals, Bhatt calls her mom to talk about the same banalities I share with mine—what she ate and how she’s feeling today. On another day, when it’s time for dinner, she forfeits room service to eat with the crew. “Why would I want to sit alone and eat when there are a bunch of interesting people eating outside?” she asks, delicately spooning her soup.
Sometimes they keep it so real, they can fool you into believing they are one of us. But train a camera lens on the telegenic couple and you’ll see them transform.
Their chemistry is combustible. They tease the lens like pros. But as the sweltering equatorial heat makes its presence felt, an exasperated and sunburnt Bhatt, in a pastel Shivan & Narresh swimsuit, reveals that the angelic face comes with a ferocious bite. When photographer Luis Monteiro urges her to stop frowning and give his lens a sexy stare, she retorts, “I’m not going to be sexy for you. I’m sexy and then I’m grumpy. That’s me.”

Shocking: Salman not interested in marrying Iulia, check out why?

Wednesday, March 16, 2016 17:14 IST
By Ankur Karan Singh, Santa Banta News Network
It's been more than a year since we are listening to rumors suggesting that Salman's is getting hitched to his alleged Romanian ladylove Iulia Vantur. But if we go by the latest hearsays pertaining to the two then they are hinting towards something really shocking.
If recent "Khufia Reports" from one of the sources, who is also close to the actor are something to be believed then they suggest that Salman and Iulia's marriage is something which may never happen.
According to this Bollywood insider who also works for one of the Bollywood news website, Salman and Iulia are not at all compatible with each other. As per him Salman and Iulia's telephonic conversations are not only very impolite, but they are highly disrespectful too, which clearly suggests that that Salman is least interested in getting hitched with this foreign import. And probably because of this incompatibility issue Salman may never marry Iulia, he further added.
But at the same time this source also maintained that despite having this weird relationship between them Salman and Iulia are good friends.
Well after the emergence of this new news chunk in the grapevine, it will be interesting to see whether Salman breaks his silence this time or remains indifferent towards it also.

Revealed: Who can convince Salman for marriage?
Tuesday, March 15, 2016 13:00 IST
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan says if he puts in his "best efforts", he may succeed in convincing his close friend Salman Khan to tie the knot.
While Salman, 50, has often expressed his "love" for his singledom, his friend Aamir has many a times said he wants the "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" star to get married.
When asked if he would want to ask his friend Salman to get married, Aamir said, "I haven't really tried yet. I have only told him. I have not fully tried yet. If I put in my best efforts, I will be successful."
The 'pk' star was speaking at a press conference held to mark his 51st birthday.

Aamir will be next seen in "Dangal", where he will play the role of a wrestler.
Interestingly, Salman Khan will also be seen in the avatar of a wrestler in Yash Raj Films' "Sultan".
Salman plays Haryanvi wrestler Sultan Ali Khan in the movie, slated to hit theatres this July.
Aamir's "Dangal" will release on December 23.

Swara Bhaskar: 'Nil Battey Sannata' on lines of trending women-centric films

Friday, March 18, 2016 12:46 IST
Swara Bhaskar says that her upcoming film 'Nil Bate Sannata' is on the lines of women-centric films that are currently trending and doing well at the box-office.
"' Nil Bate Sannata' is a positive film. At a time when women-centric films and content-driven films are trending, this film is one of them. It keeps women's issues at the centre. I feel the audience will like the film," said Swara at the wrap-up party of the film 'Happy Bhaag Jayegi'.
Recent women-centric film, 'Neerja' has done tremendous business at the box-office and in recent times other such films such as 'NH 10', 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' and 'Piku' among others have also done well.
Swara plays a 15-year-old's mother in the film and added that the film is an inspiring family movie. She also hopes that 'Nil Bate Sannata' creates a storm at the box-office unlike the "sannata" in the title which means silence.

"I wish the film creates good buzz unlike the title. It is a lovely film and I am very excited about it. My role in the film is very different. I am very hopeful about 'Nil Bate Sannata'."
The film is directed by 'Bhoothnath Returns' director Nitesh Tiwari's wife Ashwini Iyer Tiwari and also features Ratna Pathak Shah and Pankaj Tripathi.
It had received tremendous applause at the BFI London Film Festival (LFF) and the Silk Road International Film Festival in China, where Swara received the Best Actress Award.
'Nil Bate Sannata' is set to release on April 22.

Ranveer Singh's confession about Deepika Padukone
Ranveer Singh is yet to confirm his rumoured relationship with Deepika Padukone but the 'Bajirao Mastani' actor has called the actress his better half and the most "beautiful woman by his side"
Though the duo have never shied away from expressing their affection for each other in public, they have been careful with their words.
So, it came as a surprise for many when Ranveer addressed Deepika his better half at an awards ceremony held here last night.
He came up to the stage to receive the most stylish jodi award for the pair and in his acceptance speech he said, "This is for best jodi and the better half of the jodi is not here right now but I will convey your wishes to her. Like Kareena earlier said, I have the most beautiful woman by my side... Thank you everyone."
The 'Bajirao Mastani' stars were honoured at an awards gala . Deepika couldn't make it to the show as she is currently shooting for her Hollywood debut 'xXx: The Return of Xander Cage' in the US.
Earlier during the award ceremony, Kareena teased Ranveer saying he has a "beautiful woman by his side," which had the 30-year-old actor blushing.
