After a roaring bachelorette and much excitement over the last few weeks, Bipasha Basu‘s wedding celebrations with beau Karan Singh Grover are finally in full swing!

On April 29, the bride-to-be celebrated her mehendi, and turns out the rumours about the theme were true. Juhu’s Villa 69 transformed itself into a rose-hued wonderland for the event. Basu even matched her ensemble to the setting, picking a rose-print Anushree Reddy lehenga complete with floral headgear and pearly pink nails. There to congratulate the couple were close friends including Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Shamita Shetty, Sophie Choudry, Anusha Dandekar, model Candice Pinto and designer Rocky S.

The biggest party of the year isn’t the Oscars or the Grammys. It’s not in Cannes or Venice. It’s the Met Gala in New York—an event at which the world’s biggest stars come out to play.

2011: Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty 

The Met Gala paid homage to the late designer one year after his untimely death with an exhibition that went on to become one of the museum’s most popular exhibits. So popular, in fact, that it was extended at the Met and then brought over to McQueen’s hometown, London, where it was housed at the V&A for nearly five months. Romanticism and sublimity were the twin pillars upon which McQueen’s creativity was based, executed with the confidence of a provocateur.
