Have you seen Priyanka Chopra on the cover of ‘Time’ magazine?

From Padma Shri to Time 100 honoree, Priyanka Chopra’s winning streak is just growing stronger and stronger. The star found herself not just on Vogue India’s cover this month, but also fronting one of the six covers celebrating Time’s 100 Most Influential People (other covers include Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Zuckerberg and Nicki Minaj).
Needless to say, the star is thrilled. Her Instagram post featuring the cover has received more than 33,000 likes in less than an hour!

Chopra’s climb up was, of course, hasn’t always been smooth. In her interview with Time, she says, “When I was very young, I was 19 and I was doing the first few movies, I remember that my dates weren’t working out. My scheduling wasn’t working out for a movie with a very big actor. And the producer said, ‘Well, she can’t work it out, it’s fine, we’ll just cast someone else. Or, you know what? I’ll launch a new girl because girls are replaceable.’ I didn’t understand it then. But I think subconsciously it really worked on my mind, and I started picking up parts which were strong, which were not just the damsel in distress waiting for someone to rescue me. As much as I like being rescued. Every girl does … Now 13, 15 years later, whatever, I think that the movies that I do, I’m irreplaceable and the boys are replaceable.”
Inspirational, right? Catch her full interview here.

Toned, long, supermodel legs in 10 minutes? Here’s how you can get them

Just when you thought the world was over calling contouring a fad, women went ahead and took it to a level you won’t believe—they’re now contouring their legs. That’s right; it started with the face, then the neck, your abs and even your chest—now, your limbs are official added to the list of body parts that can be chiseled—and you don’t need a gym membership, just a few layers of make-up.
Leg day at the gym has been missed one too many times, those squat thrusts have been neglected and now you’re left with limbs that need attention and damage control. But instead of hopping on the treadmill, women and make-up artists are taking to bronzers and highlighters to tone their legs. They start with using foundation closest to the skin tone, then defining the leg muscles with a darker shade and finally blending it all together. The end result—a lot of time gone?
We’re listing down what we think was probably going on in the minds of whoever came up with this trend. In their perfect world, this is what might have happened if you contoured your legs…
  1. They’d definitely not look a shade different than the rest of your body, right?
  2. Of course you wouldn’t sweat all that layered foundation out, because who even cares about humidity anymore?
  3. Sitting on a bar stool and worrying about your “leg make-up” smearing all over it won’t be on your mind at all.
  4. You wouldn’t have to worry about spending half your income on contour kits, because you’re buying it in wholesale anyway—it’s not a lot of skin to cover in any case.
  5. Think about it, it’s going to draw attention away from the rest of your body; which means you can give your face make-up a skip, right?
We’re not sure if you should try this at home, unless your contour kit is reaching its expiration date and you have no choice but to use it all up. To help you get your head around this trend, here are some videos of leg contouring doing the virtual rounds:
