क्या है मामला?

- मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, प्रत्यूषा के ब्वॉयफ्रेंड राहुल ने कोटक महिंद्रा बैंक से कार लोन लिया था।
- वे इसकी ईएमआई रेग्युलरली नहीं भर रहे थे।
- वे अमित दलवी नाम के रिकवरी एजेंट के कॉन्टैक्ट में थे।
- राहुल ने 31 दिसंबर को दलवी को फोन कर कहा था कि वे आकर एक इन्स्टॉलमेंट ले जाएं।
- जब दलवी उस दिन राहुल के घर पहुंचे तो राहुल ने उनसे मारपीट की। 
- इसके बाद राहुल के खिलाफ रिकवरी एजेंट दलवी ने कांदिवली पुलिस थाने में 1 जनवरी को शिकायत दर्ज कराई।
- इसके बाद दलवी अपने साथियों को लेकर प्रत्यूषा के घर पहुंचा। 
- प्रत्यूषा ने कहा कि राहुल शहर से बाहर हैं। इस पर दलवी चला गया।
- आरोप है कि दलवी और उसके साथी सोमवार शाम दोबारा प्रत्यूषा के घर गए।
- इस बार उन्होंने पुलिसवालों जैसी वर्दी पहन रखी थी। राहुल घर पर नहीं मिला तो प्रत्यूषा से बदसलूकी की।

टीवी सीरियल 'बालिका वधू' में आनंदी का किरदार निभाने वाली अभिनेत्री प्रत्यूषा बनर्जी की मौत हो गई है। प्रत्यूषा की लाश अंधेरी वेस्ट स्थित उनके अवास में संदिग्ध परिस्थितियों में फांसी के फंदे पर लटकी मिली। पुलिस ने कहा कि प्रथम दृष्ट्या यह मामला खुदकुशी का लग रहा है। हालांकि पुलिस को उनके घर से किसी तरह का कोई सुसाइड नोट नहीं मिला है।

मामले की जांच की जा रही है। मूलत: जमशेदपुर की रहने वाली प्रत्यूषा मुंबई में अपने दोस्तों के साथ रहती थीं। उनका परिवार मुंबई से बाहर रहता है।

प्रत्यूषा को सीरियल 'बालिका वधू' में उनके किरदार 'आनंदी' की वजह से पहचान मिली। बाद में वो रियलिटी शो बिग बॉस 7 में भी नजर आईं। हाल ही में प्रत्युषा कलर्स पर प्रसारित होने वाले सीरियल 'ससुराल सिमर का' में दिखाई दी थीं, जिसमें उन्होंने डायन का किरदार निभाया था।

गौरतलब है कि प्रत्यूषा ने पिछले दिनों तब सुर्खियों में आई थीं, जब उन्होंने कुछ लोगों और पुलिस पर घर में घुसकर उनके साथ दुर्व्यवहार का आरोप लगाया था। इससे पहले उनके बॉयफ्रेंड ने भी उनपर धोखाधड़ी का आरोप लगाया था। पिछले कुछ समय से वे काफी परेशान चल रही थीं।

Remembering Pratyusha Banerjee (1991-2016): The actress who won hearts as Anandi of 'Balika Vadhu

In a rather heartbreaking development, popular TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee who maintained a successful career, passed away today. The actress (24) had allegedly hung herself at her Mumbai residence on Friday morning, and was soon rushed to Kokilaben Hospital where she was admitted before breathed her last. As reports suggest, she was facing problems in her love life.

The Jamshedpur-born actress followed on her early success with popular TV serial ‘Balika Vadhu’ as Anandi that managed to win applause for the social issues it raised and the awareness it created amongst the viewers.

Such was the impact of her character that she was soon being referred to as Anandi by the audience. In one of her early interviews, she had stated that the character Anandi was a lot like her.

Set in rural Rajasthan, ‘Balika Vadhu’ gave viewers an insight into the difficult journey of Anandi who was married off at the tender age of eight. Besides getting used to new family of strangers, a young adult, Anandi (Pratyusha) also had to combat new challenges as she slogged to carve out her identity in the male-dominated world.

After her successful stint as Anandi, Pratyusha was also seen as one of the strongest contestants on reality TV show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5’.

Continuing with her contribution to reality TV, the actress also made it to the controversial and much-talked about TV show ‘Bigg Boss 7’.

She has also signed as a host with reality-based crime saga 'Savdhaan India' for the special part on ‘women against crime’ with Hiten Tejwani and Sushant Singh as co-hosts.

The actress had worked in 'Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya' (TV series) in 2014 and was last seen in 'Hum Hain Na' as the main female lead.

Not too long ago, she was also seen in ‘Power Couple’ with beau Rahul.

Balika Vadhu actress Pratyusha Banerjee found dead, suicide suspected

Mumbai: Balika Vadhu actress Pratyusha Banerjee has been found dead at her residence in Mumbai, police said on Friday.

The 24-year-old was found hanging from the ceiling at her flat in Bangur Nagar in suburban Kandivli, a police officer said.

However, no suicide note was found from the flat, he said, adding the exact cause of the death, which occurred around afternoon, will be known only after an autopsy is conducted.

Reason for the extreme step was not yet known, but Banerjee was reportedly facing problems in her relationship with boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh.

Her last status message on Whatsapp read, "Marke bhi muh na tuzse modana" (even after death won't be turning my face away from you) with a smiley.

"She is no more with us. It's shocking. I spoke to her two-three months back and she was fine that time. I am at the hospital...trying to get details," Pratyusha's co star from "Balika Vadhu", Siddharth Shukla, said.

Her other major appearances on the small screen were in "Bigg Boss 7", a reality show, and "Jhalak Dikhla Jha", a dance programme. She was last seen in TV show "Hum Hain Naa".

Reacting to the news, Bollywood producer Tanuj Garg tweeted, "Terrible, terrible news about Pratyusha Banerjee. Met her once at a party. How extreme must pressures be to drive one to take one's own life."

Bigg Boss co-contestant Kushal Tandon wrote, "The news is absolutely saddening. I know life is tough but why do you need to do this. She was so young, I don't know what happened. Lots of strength to her family during this time."

Another co-contestant Gauhar tweeted, "Sad sad sad. Nothing's worth ending your one beautiful gift called life for... My heart bleeds for the parents and family...#suicidesnvrthecure."

Expressing shock TV personality VJ Andy said, "I first read that on Twitter and thought it was an April fool's joke. Then I got a call from Tanisha who told me the same. Then my manager too confirmed It. I still cannot believe it. I am shocked. She was so full of life, and always seemed happy. The last time I had met here she was fine and seemed ok. I really don't know how to react now."

Pratyusha shot to fame at the young age of 18 when she was selected to replace child star Avika Gor as Anandi on "Balika Badhu" in 2010.

Such was the popularity of the show, which revolved around the life of a child bride, at that time that the makers launched a nationwide poll to select the grown-up Anandi after the story took a five-year leap. The actress, however, left the show in 2013.

In "Bigg Boss 7", she had close friendship with housemate Kamya Punjabi. On the show, she hated when contestants teased her for being the youngest member in the group.

PRIYANKA CHOPRA'S STAR IS BLINDING AS SHE TAKES ON THE GLOBE AND LEADS THE PACK AT HOME

“It was miserable!” Priyanka Chopra announces in that should-be-trademarked Indian-Anglo–accented husky voice. “It was brutally cold and apparently winter’s not even here yet, but we braved it and did lots of pull-ups and push-ups in the rain.”

The “globalisation of popular culture” is a mouthful, and it’s a theme that has doubtless inspired a million high-minded essays. But know that its most perfect manifestation may be ABC’s Quantico, one of three breakout hits on American TV this season (along with Blindspot andSupergirl), which not incidentally features the ravishing 33-year-old Chopra as a driven FBI recruit going through basic training at the bureau’s academy in Quantico, Virginia — and which is filmed, for reasons of network economy, in chilly Montreal. Her character, we learn in an elaborate nine-month-later flash-forward sequence in the pilot, is also being framed for the inside-job bombing of Grand Central Station. The show is, to be sure, OTT: watch her character, Alex Parrish, kick ass in hand-to-hand combat, and bed the cute guy with whom she shares a dorm bathroom, and elude capture with a bag of high-tech counterintelligence tricks, all in about five minutes’ worth of small-screen jump cuts. But it’s intensely watchable, thanks to Chopra, who radiates megacharisma (the show’s “strongest human asset,” according to The New York Times) and whose well-toned physique looks as natural doing trainee calisthenics as it does moving through the elegant gyrations of Bajirao Mastani.

“It’s popcorn television,” she breezily says of Quantico, which returns from hiatus this month. “And I’m a big fan of pop entertainment — I watch Castle! I believe as an actor I can create anything into my own form of art.” She would know. In the last 15 years, Chopra, the daughter of Army physicians, has evolved from Miss World to Miss World Domination. After some 50 films — in which she’s played, among other roles, an autistic woman (Barfi!, 2012), a boxer (Mary Kom, 2014) and a tough cop in this month’s Jai Gangaajal — Chopra draws audiences not only in India but throughout Southeast Asia, the UK, Australia, Germany and Canada. That economic clout has allowed her to launch her own company, Purple Pebble Productions, and create a foundation that ensures that the children of her 200-plus employees receive health care and an education if their parents can’t afford it. “Hard work can never be denied,” is how she describes her philosophy, with the kicker, “unless you’re, like, a bungling fool.”

All of which is to say that when American television began to assiduously court her two years ago, she was “a little skeptical”. Chopra was one of those fortunate few for whom accepting a lead role on a network TV show meant a significant pay cut. And to the degree that she had a coherent plan to take on the West, music was supposed to be her beachhead: she signed a deal with Interscope Records that to date has translated into a couple of singles, including a semi-autobiographical duet with Pitbull titled ‘Exotic’ (per his rapped lyrics, “Bollywood to Hollywood, it’s all about the money”). Instead, ABC sold her on Quantico, a project she picked from the 26 that the network dangled before her. She dazzled in the pilot, ABC got another diversity feather in its cap (see Black-ish, Dr. Ken and How To Get Away With Murder), and this Bollywood superstar just bought herself nine months of the year shooting in mostly cold weather. “I do love a challenge,” she says, explaining the logic. “It’s my folly, and it will be my downfall someday.” Consider the notorious 14-hour-a-day shooting schedule common to hour-long dramas as TV’s own form of boot camp. “It’s a beast,” Chopra says. “I did freak out a little bit at first.” (For those first few months, she’d fly back to India on the weekends to finish Bajirao Mastani.)

The pace exacts a price; for instance, in the romantic department. As breathlessly chronicled in the tabloids, over the years Chopra has been involved with at least two of her co-stars, but she’s currently single. “Why should a woman have to pick between global domination and having the love of her life?” she asks rhetorically, if wistfully.

Still, she’s determined to carry an American TV show and maintain a workload back home, shuttling back and forth the way Sophia Loren did between Hollywood and Rome, a comparison that doesn’t displease her. “Exactly,” she says. “It’s about getting on a 16-hour flight, reading a book, and arriving.” Smitten American colleagues can’t help but project. Says Josh Hopkins, late of Cougar Town and now her FBI handler on Quantico, “The other day I was doing a scene with her, and I had this realisation that I’m going to be buying tickets to see her in Hollywood movies for years to come. She’s just got it.”
