Reality Check: Is Aditi really not dating Farhan?
Actress Aditi Rao Hydari, who was on a media trial recently for a rumoured link-up with Bollywood actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, says that initially she used to feel pressure as she was new to the industry but now she laughs off such reports and thinks them "interesting".
"It's part of our job," Aditi told IANS when asked about her reaction to how media rumours affects her as a woman than as an actress.
"There are some days when I am irritated for five minutes and then we all laugh and get on with our work. I actually find it entertaining," she added.
The "Rock On" star and his celebrity hair-stylist wife Adhuna announced their decision to separate "mutually and amicably" earlier this year and it was reported that Aditi, who worked with Farhan in "Wazir" was the reason behind the split.
However Aditi, who walked for designer Shruti Sancheti at the ongoing Amazon India Fashion Week (AIFW) Winter-Festive 2016, here on Friday, says that Our lives are sometimes far more exciting on print then it actually is because we are working back to back, not sleeping, taking flights from here to there but you (media) attribute (it) as a very exciting life."
She also says that though she is now five years old in the industry, such link ups used to affect her in initially.
"I have been working here for five years and earlier I used to feel pressure as I was new to it. I was not from the film world. I had not grown up there but today I am happy being like that. Either from being fashion, style or whoever you are, one should actually be effortless. It is about being yourself and being happy, being unique.

"I think when people love you for who you are and not what you are trying to be, I think then you are fine. There is no pressure on you. You are really happy and happy girls are really pretty," she said.
Nagpur-based fashion designer Sancheti showcased her new collection titled Constantinople at the fashion gala that started here on AMarch 16.
Rooted in Islamic architecture and Byzantine opulence, the collection featured ultra-luxurious modern cuts with quintessential handcrafted brilliance. Conflicting pattern clashes of fluid Paisley, geometric mosaics and rustic clamp dyeing forms the core DNA of this line.
Some of the highlights of the collection was the print and the footwear designed by Aprajita Toor.

Why Bollywood stars prefer to steer clear of animation genre
Unlike Hollywood, where the biggest names lend their voice to animation films, Bollywood stars prefer to steer clear of the genre
The animation genre in Hollywood is big business. It is not just due to the quality of the films produced, but also due to the fact that the biggest Hollywood stars lend their voice for cartoon flicks. Sandra Bullock, one of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood, and Mad Men actor Jon Hamm did the voiceovers for Minions (2015). Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman appeared in this year's release, Zootopia. Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy worked on Shrek (2001), Owen Wilson was a voice in Cars 2 (2014) and Angelina Jolie lent her voice for Kung Fu Panda (2008).

Imran Khan lent his voice for Rio 2 (2011).
Realising the importance of getting leading stars for animation films, Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan have been roped in for the Hindi version of the upcoming animated film, The Jungle Book.

The Hindi version of the upcoming film, The Jungle Book, has Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan doing voiceovers
Amrita Pandey, vice-president, Studios, Disney India, says, "The Jungle Book is special to India, and we want our audience to enjoy the all-new, live-action adaptation. We wanted nothing, but the best for the Hindi version of the film. We are so excited to have such veterans and A-list actors come together to voice and bring alive these beloved characters making it like a big Hindi film.`

Priyanka Chopra
Far behind
The Indian animation industry is far behind the West, point out industry experts and mention that more support from the Bollywood stars can make animation a bigger genre in India.

Irrfan Khan
Stars like Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan worked on Roadside Romeo (2008), Akshay Kumar lent his voice for Jumbo (2008), Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha gave voice for the Hindi version of Rio 2 (2011) while Shah Rukh Khan lent his voice for the Hindi version of The Incredibles (2004), but industry experts believe that the support has not been helpful so far. Obviously for a reason.

Akshay Kumar dubbed for Jumbo (2008)
Shailendra Singh from Percept Picture Company that produced films like Jumbo and Return Of Hanuman (2008), says, "Most of the time, Bollywood stars demand a huge amount from the filmmakers for voiceovers.

SRK for the Hindi version of The Incredibles (2004)
One needs to understand that in Hollywood, the economics of animation films is different from what it is in India. So paying a huge amount to stars becomes an uneconomical decision for filmmakers. Here, stars are all about fame and finance. They are not here to support the genre and become part of another creative field.`

Manoj Bajpayee
Benefit from the growth
Manish Dutt, managing director of VR Films and Studios, that has dubbed Kung Fu Panda for Dreamworks, 12 Barbie Films and currently working on multiple Hollywood animated majors in several Indian languages, says, "If mainstream stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan voice main characters, they can change the face of the Indian animation industry. This (Bollywood stars dubbing for animated films) has been experimented earlier with Akshay Kumar voicing for a Thai animation film.
It does draw the audiences in, but Indian stars charge too high a price which cannot be recovered. They have to be reasonable in pricing initially. Once the audience starts lapping up Indian animated flicks, the pricing can be reworked by the stars.`
Apart from suggesting the much-needed change in the way stars look at the money coming in from animated movies, Dutt also points out that currently, the genre is not popular enough as audiences prefer stars in mainstream film. He says, "Hindi film stars can draw audiences, but the Indian audience prefers to see the stars perform, rather than to hear their voices.`
Show quality work
But actors are not the only ones to be blamed. Manoj Bajpayee, who has given his voice for animated films like Ramayana: The Epic (2010) and Mahabharat (2013) believes that the quality of animation films in India, unlike West, should also improve to get Bollywood stars on board.
Bajpayee says, "In the West, from whatever I have observed, the actors give voiceovers only when it suits or goes with the character. This is important, but here, voiceovers are still not approached professionally. There has to be a system wherein the actor can record the voice and accordingly, you create a character. Since we are not doing it, the Indian animation films are not doing well. The quality of work has to improve so that actors can also show interest. In the West, they are doing it well for years. I will lend my voice to an animated film only if I see that there is professional approach towards the work.`
Stop limiting its reach
Apart from stars citing high prices to actors not willing to be part of mediocre work, the way animation films in India are projected and marketed also needs to be changed. Keitan Yadav, COO, Red Chillies VFX, says, "The VFX industry has grown manifold. Live action films including Ra.One (2011) and Krrish (2006) have done well.
However, the animation industry needs to grow. It is still pitched as a genre meant for children. This is not the case in the West where animation is also a genre that serves the interest of all. It is not limited to any particular age group. India has skill as well as technology, but the way the animation industry is projected, needs to change to ensure growth.`

What is the USP of Raees?
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan hopes the presence of actors as "fine" as Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pakistani talent Mahira Khan in "Raees", helps him "improve" his own performance in the movie.
Talking about "Raees", SRK told the media on the sidelines of the Times of India Film Awards here: "I think we have a great set of actors. The film is a little more on the real zone. Rahul Dholakia is directing it.
"There is Mahira Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub. We have really fine actors. I am really impressed by the quality of actors we have in the film and hopefully they will help me improve my performance."
The 50-year-old actor even has a film with young and raring-to-go actress Alia Bhatt. It's a yet untitled project to be directed by Gauri Shinde.

Of working with the 23-year-old "Student Of The Year" actress, SRK said: "Alia is not in awe of me. She is beautiful. I have known her since childhood... She is just beautiful."
This year, there's a lot happening on the career front for Shah Rukh. While his "Fan" is slated to release soon, there's also news that he has been signed on to work in Aanand L. Rai's next project.
There has also been a buzz that he is playing a dwarf in Rai's film, but clarifying this, he said: "Who reported this? If journalists have reported this, it is not true. So I'll tell you when I will do the film. Yes, I am talking to Aanand, Imtiaz and five other directors... I start new films in June or July after I finish last bits of 'Raees'," he said.

Who is happy on being compared with Alia?
Tridha Choudhury is elated to be compared to Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt for one of her looks in her TV show "Dahleez".
Tridha, who forayed into the small screen with the Star Plus show, had to wear Kanjeevaram sari similar to the one Alia wore in the "2 States` for one scene.
"I'm playing the character of a Tamil Brahmin girl in the show and for a wedding ceremony of a friend in the show, I did wear a beautiful sari. Co-incidentally, it was like Alia's look of the '2 States' and everyone on the set complimented me, saying I look like her,` Tridha said in statement.
In the show, she is seen as the female protagonist Swadheenta Ramakrishnan opposite Harshad Arora.
The actress, who has appeared in various Bengali and Telugu films, added: "It was such a pleasant change from the kind of scenes we have shot till now. My look is also very different. I am sure audience will love it.`

Set in Delhi, "Dahleez` is the story of two individuals -- Swadheenta, a young aspiring lawyer and Adarsh, an IAS officer. Both have their respective sets of values and ideals which set them apart from the crowd.
Meanwhile, Harshad is also recuperating as he hurt his back while doing an action sequence for "Dahleez`. In one scene, he had to hit goons and they retaliated. He actually got hit but continued to shoot in the immense pain, and took rest afterward.

Malaika opts for silence over divorce rumours
It was a "Mein chup rahungi" moment for actress Malaika Arora Khan as she decided to stay mum over rumours of divorce from producer husband Arbaaz Khan.
The actress walked for designer Mandira Wirk at the ongoing Amazon India Fashion Week (AIFW) winter-festive 2016 and when IANS asked her about the media reports about her personal life, she refused to comment.
Wirk presented a collection titled "Romancing Rococo" on the fourth day of the fashion gala that is taking place at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here.
The collection delves deep into this style that gained prominence in Paris as a statement in fancifulness, modishness and refined style. The collection particularly takes a cue from the curlicues motifs and gilding of the iconic era and finds a modern-day expression in Wirk's collection.
"The Rococo movement emerged as a rebellion against the rigidity of Baroque designs and its hallmark was a quiet grandeur that was far from opulent or overbearing. My collection captures this exact sentiment and strives to bring forth elegance that is, at no point, over the top or gimmicky," said the designer.

Asked what made her look at Malaika as her muse this time, Wirk told IANS: "The designs depicts 18th century art and architecture and talks about curves and asymmetric designs so who can you have better than the curvaceous body of my friend Malaika."
Even Malaika was excited walking the runway and said that she would love to associate with Wirk for her fashion label titled "The Closet Label".
"My line is easy, affordable and comfortable so i would love to have designer friends," Malaika told IANS.
